Our belief is that this contribution can and must be improved if the sub-region is to achieve the ambitious targets set out in the Liverpool City Region Multi-Area Agreement.
The Merseyside Rural Economy Action Plan (MREAP) will provide an over-arching approach to sustainable economic development in Rural Merseyside. Phase one of the MREAP is now complete. This includes an evidence base, collective vision and strategic priorities for sustainable economic development.
Phase 2 of this work has just commenced and involves developing an integrated “suite” of projects as a prelude to drawing down significant new and existing NWDA, LEADER and other funding and investment to deliver them.
